This month, we are pleased to announce the appointment of two new members of the UK Bond Network team. We welcome Alastair Stratton and Steven Marshall in the positions of Head of Origination and Head of Compliance, respectively.

Alastair Stratton
Head of Origination

Alastair has 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, both in the equity capital markets and M&A. He started his career at Williams de Broe (now part of Investec) and subsequently was a founding partner at Matrix Corporate Capital (MCC). Following MCC, he joined Numis Securities as a Managing Director, responsible for Natural Resources. During his career he has advised on or managed over 60 successfully completed corporate finance transactions. He is an alumnus of Southampton University and the University of Law.

Steven Marshall
Head of Compliance

Steven joins us from Property Partner where he held the role of Compliance Manager & Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Steven is experienced in banking, finance, short-term lending and fintech start-ups and has previously held controlled functions including CF11 and CF30. He is currently a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA).

Christopher Maule, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of UK Bond Network, said: “Alastair’s extensive corporate finance experience and Steven’s fintech expertise are valuable assets to have on board, firstly as we continue to develop our offering for business borrowers in the quoted small-cap markets, but also as we prepare for the new MiFID ii regulations to come into place in January 2018.

“Their respective specialisms will play key roles as we progress into the new year and beyond and I am delighted to welcome them both to the team.”
